Hoo has worked in the flooring export industry for nearly ten years. From traditional wood flooring to vinyl roll, PVC flooring, LVT, and today’s SPC flooring, he has experienced every stage of the industry’s evolution. His performance was always outstanding, but even more remarkable was the way he treated every client — not just as a customer, but as a friend, even as family.
He remembered every client’s country, every special holiday, and sent warm greetings on each occasion. He understood every product requirement with absolute clarity, personally supervised every detail, and took responsibility far beyond what his job demanded.
The Beginning of a Partnership Built on Trust
This story takes place when our factory first launched its LVT production line — a time when LVT flooring was rapidly rising in global demand.
Hoo saw the opportunity, but he also understood the challenge. Winning over a major international client required true strength: product quality, factory capabilities, pricing, consistency, and above all — unwavering trust.
After two years of patient communication, Hoo finally earned the attention of Alex, the owner of a well-established flooring wholesaler and brand from the United States. A sharp Jewish businessman, Alex was known for his strict standards and careful judgment.
To build trust, Hoo and our factory representatives flew to the United States to visit Alex in person. The conversations were honest, open, and productive. Most importantly, we shared the same philosophy:
Quality must never be compromised.
Service must always be 100% responsible.
No customer should experience even one moment of frustration because of us.
Before leaving, Hoo invited Alex to China to see our factory firsthand — an invitation that solidified the partnership. Soon after Alex’s visit, the first purchase order arrived.
The Work Behind Excellence
At that time, both Alex’s company and our factory were new to LVT flooring. The process of confirming colors, thickness, wear layers, dry-back vs. self-adhesive formats, and even a customized hexagon shape involved countless samples, endless adjustments, and hundreds of communications on logo design, artwork, and packaging.
Our LVT line was young. Experience was limited. Equipment was still being perfected.
So the entire factory worked with extreme care.
And Hoo… went even further.
He personally inspected every single piece of LVT flooring produced for Alex’s first large order.
Not random checks. Not sampling.
Every sheet. One by one.
It was this level of dedication that ensured the flooring delivered to the U.S. was flawless — so flawless that Alex’s brand quickly rose to the Top 3 on Amazon’s LVT flooring category.
The Sacrifice That Changed Us Forever
But dedication sometimes comes at a cost.
In 2020, at the peak of his workload and responsibilities, Hoo collapsed at his workstation from a brain hemorrhage. He survived, but only after critical rescue. The incident left him with lasting effects that took years of recovery to overcome.
When asked about the sacrifices he made, Hoo said something we will never forget:
“If my effort helped our clients trust us, helped our company improve, and earned us respect in this industry… then it was worth it.”
His words changed the way our factory operates forever.
